Dragons win the Championship

The Dragons entered the playoffs with the best regular season record of 25-2-3.

The Dragons swept the first two rounds against the White Sox and Reds only to face the Royals for the 4th year in a row in the SABL Finals.

In the 27 year history of the SABL there has never been a team that was crowned with the distinction of winning the league championship 3 years in a row. However, on September 30th, 2012 that distinction became reality when the Dragons attained that allusive 3-peat title.

The title was clinched against the rival Royals, whom the Dragons have faced and beaten in the finals for the last 3 years. The first 4 games of the finals showcased both the pitching and defensive skills of both teams.

Then came Game 5 which quickly became a different story from the previous 4 games of the series, the Dragon bats finally came alive putting up multiple runs in the 2nd and 5th innings to eventually win the game, series and title with a score of 11-3.

So the debate begins, with this 3 year championship run of the Dragons, are they the best team the SABL has ever seen? Are they the best there ever was, ever is and ever will be? To find the answer to that question, just ask the Dragons, they will be happy to tell you the answer!
