The Dragons entered the playoffs with the best regular season record of 27-1-1 in the 26 year history of the SABL. The Dragons swept the first 2x rounds against the White Sox and Psychos only to face the Royals for the 3rd year in a row in the SABL Finals. After winning Game 1 by the score of 14-5, the wheels fell off on Sunday Sept 25th; not only did the Dragon's lose Game 2 and 3 but they also lost Game 1 starter, league leading RBI producer and .500 hitter Brandon Warne to a compound fracture in his left middle finger on a headfirst slide into 2nd base. Down 2-1 in a best of 5 series the Dragons go into Game 4 with zero margin for error. With a fallen teammate as inspiration and Timmy March on the bump for Game 4, the Dragons evened the series with a 7-2 win. With both teams pumped and ready to get the series finale underway Game 5 was rained out on Oct 2nd and rescheduled for Oct 6th. With an extra week of anticipation for both teams to deal with Game 5 was finally ready to get started, both teams had their aces on the mound (Tim March and Mike Barnett) and the battle for the SABL championship began in the sudden death match-up. The Dragons started out of the gate scoring 3 runs and eventually expanded their lead winning the 2011 SABL championship by the score of 8-1. The Dragons championship is the 7th time in league history that a team was able to win back to back championships.

The Dragon’s season was EPIC in all sense of the word; Dragons scored 395 total runs and only allowing 105 total runs in 39 games (reg season + playoffs). Avg 10.2 runs score and 2.7 runs allowed.

Every member of the Dragons roster played huge roles as the Dragons celebrated their 2nd SABL championship in back to back years.
